Jasa Merin buys two AHTS vessels
Silk Holdings' subsidiary Jasa Merin has agreed to buy two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels at a price of MYR120.3m ($39.2m) each, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The two offshore vessels, both built in 2011, will be acquired from Muhibbah Engineering and from wholly-owned subsidiary of MEMB, CB International Engineering.
Both of the acquisitions are expected to complete upon delivery of the vessels by the fourth quarter of 2012.
“The acquisitions are in line with the fleet renewal and expansion plan of Silk Group,” Kuala Lumpur-listed Silk Holdings said.
The purchase considerations for the AHTS vessels will be funded by internally generated funds and bank borrowings, it added.
