ULCT handles first box ship of CMA CGM
Ust-Luga Container Terminal (ULCT, member the National Container Company / NCC) unloaded 75 TEU of containerized cargoes from the 1440teu Christopher that arrived from Hamburg. This was the first call of CMA CGM container ship at Ust-Luga, NCC press release said. Then the vessel will proceed to St. Petersburg.
CMA CGM will perform regular calls to ULCT every two weeks as part of its FBLC service FBLC, linking the terminal with the largest European ports - Zeebrugge, Antwerp and Hamburg.
"Inclusion of ULCT in ports rotation of CMA CGM, the world's largest container lines, is a milestone for the terminal’s development and the entire container shipping sector of Russia’s North-West. Today, one more customer can take advantage of ULCT’s modern equipment, geographical location and high service quality that allow to handle container cargos in the shortest possible time," the company said.
