Heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser "Pyotr Veliky” (Kirov-class) today returned to Severomorsk, the Russian Northern Fleet’s main base, from a voyage to the Arctic, the Defense Ministry press office said.
The Northern Fleet flagship traveled more than 4,000 nm, in the Barents, Kara and Laptev seas, took part in naval drills of the Western Military District, leading a group of ten warships, conducted rescue operations and environmental monitoring in the waters of the Arctic Ocean.
