Offshore O&G services contractor SapuraKencana Petroleum's Allied Marine & Equipment unit has sealed MYR700m underwater services contract from Petronas Carigali. The contract includes inspection, repair and maintenance services utilising specialised vessels, equipment and personnel covering Petronas Carigali's Malaysian offshore oil and gas fields, Seatrade Asia online reports.
SapuraKencana said in a stock market announcement the duration of the contract is three and a half years effective from October till April 2016, with a one-year extension option. The contract is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the group for the financial years ending Jan 31, 2013 to 2017, SapuraKencana said.
The group announced a MYR135.8m contract from HESS Exploration and Production Malaysia for the provision of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) of Kamelia-A Wellhead Platform for early production system of the Integrated Gas Development Project.
The EPCC contract for wellhead platform work at Kamelia Field, 300 km offshore Peninsular Malaysia is expected to be completed by the first quarter of next year.
