Mermaid Maritime bags $25m Qatar subsea contract

Mermaid Maritime unit Subtech has been awarded a $25m over a five-year period in Qatar, Seatrade Asia online reports. The contract for an undisclosed repeat Qatar client will be performed by the DP barge Mermaid Siam and will cover ongoing offshore field maintenance, remedial and call-off work. The five year contract is will generate approximately $5m a year in revenues.

“We expect the growing reputation of our quality of services to deliver more contract awards in this region,” said Paul Whiley, managing director of Subtech.
