Russia is exploring the possibility of delivering liquefied natural gas from its Far Eastern region to Vietnam and neighboring countries, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said today at a press conference in Hanoi, RBC reports.
"The project to start supplying LNG to the Vietnamese market and surrounding countries has great prospects, especially taking into account Russia's capacities in the Far East," Medvedev pointed out.
The prime minister went on to say that the two countries have already formed several O&G joint ventures, such as VietSovPetro, adding that these cooperation projects would be expanded as private Russian companies are entering the Vietnamese market.
