Guangdong Administration of Transport has release a new guidance for port development in the province yesterday in order to further boost its marine economy, SinoShipNews reports.
According to the release, Guangdong plans to accelerate development of intermodal rail service by adding railways links to Zhuhai port and Nansha port, and connect them to a railway line to Jiangxi province in order to enhance the connectivity to Mid-west China.
The guidance also encourages ports in the province to develop cruise infrastructures and cruise tourism as part of its Pearl River Gateway strategy.
