Rosmorport takes delivery of workboat of Project MRV14 Aquamarine

Rosmorport’s Astrakhan brunch company on November 16 took delivery from Moscow Shipyard of the Aquamarine, the fifth vessel of a package of six multipurpose workboats ordered by Rosmorport, the shipbuilding company said. The next day the boat delivered by a trucking company has been commissioned into service with the Astrakhan fleet.

The boat will be utilized to transport pilots, crewmembers, and port control officers to ships, for survey of navigable waterways, participation in rescue operations and for other tasks.

The multipurpose boat of MRV14 project is a modern, powerful, economical, fast and highly maneuverable boat, which is a combination of modern design solutions and innovative shipbuilding technologies.
Ship’s main characteristics: class - KM * [1] HSC, LOA - 14 m, overall beam - 4.36 m, displacement - 15 tons, draft - 1.02 m, max speed - 22 knots., power - 484 kW, the crew – 2, passenger capacity - 6.

Implementing the United Shipbuilding Corp’s plan for manufacture a workboats line, Moscow Shipyard in October 2011 commenced the construction of a series of six multipurpose crafts of MRV14 project for Rosmorport. The boat is equipped with advanced Volvo Penta IPS 450 propulsion system.

JSC Moscow Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Yard (Moscow Shipyard, part of United Shipbuilding Corp.) is one of Russia's oldest shipyards founded in 1936. Throughout the years the shipyard has built more than 1,800 vessels with a total overall length of more than 52,000 meters. The firm specializes in building of river passenger vessels, fishing boats and 25-m / 50-m-long luxury yachts.
In 2002, the shipbuilding company successfully passed the certification of quality management system according to ISO 9001. In September 2011, the shipyard commenced the construction of high-speed multi-purpose boats MRV14 for Russian ports. Since 2011 the company has been building a package of 27 buoy tenders of Project 3050 and 12 tenders of Project 3050.1 for maintenance of navigational aid on Russian inland waterways. Since mid-2012, Moscow Shipyard has been engaged in the construction of boats for the Russian Navy.
