The Russian Ministry of Transportation has not dropped plans to create a deep-draft port in Kaliningrad, a Ministry official said.
Speaking to the PortNews correspondent on the sidelines of the 5th International Conference "Human Resources Policy in St. Petersburg" Deputy Minister of Transportation Sergei Aristov said that "the project is quite interesting," and that the ministry continues to elaborate the project.
Commenting another project, the creation of Arkhangelsk deepwater port, Aristov said that there have been no specific decisions made as yet.
