Bunker prices soft in Asia

Bunker prices in Asia were soft with many ports seeing small-to-moderate losses. Singapore was mostly stable while Taiwanese ports including Kaohsiung, Taichung, and Keelung saw IFO380 slip $12.00 pmt, Ship & Bunker reports.

Singapore IFO380 moved up $1.00 to $611.00 per metric tonne (pmt) rising $3.50 over the past two weeks and down $29.00 in the last month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) climbed $11.00 to $694.00 pmt up $6.00 week-on-week and making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $83.00. MGO in the port gained $2.50 to $937.50 pmt adding $8.50 to last week's price.

Hong Kong IFO380 was down for a second consecutive day falling $1.00 to $621.00 pmt, gaining $2.00 week-on-week and down $32.00 on last month's price. MGO also fell $1.00 bringing the price to $959.00 pmt and adding $11.50 to last Thursday's price.

Tokyo IFO380 slipped $2.00 to $669.50 pmt for a week-on-week gain of $7.50 but down $6.00 in the last two weeks. MDO rose for a third consecutive day up $1.50 to $958.00 pmt adding $15.50 to last week's price.

Port Klang 380 cSt product fell $7.00 to $616.00 pmt gaining $6.00 in the last week and making a monthly change of $-30.00 pmt. MGO in Port Klang dropped $5.00 to $957.50 up $2.00 week-on-week.

Busan IFO380 moved up for the first time since November 16, 2012 climbing $1.00 to $655.50 pmt, down $8.50 from last Thursday and slipping $14.00 over the past month. LS380 moved up for a second consecutive day gaining $1.00 to $806.00 pmt, and MGO dropped $4.00 to $958.50, which was the same price as last Thursday.
