Shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) clinched a contract to build a new dive support vessel (DSV) for London-headquartered Subsea 7, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The new vessel will be delivered in 2015. Financial terms for the contract were not disclosed.
This will be the third new DSV to join Subsea 7's fleet in recent years since taking deliveries of earlier vessels in 2010 and 2011.
The state-of-the-art DSV will be equipped with six main engines in three separate engine rooms designed to maximise performance in DP3.
