Odessa port handles 8,000teu boxship Teno (photo release)

The Odessa port container terminal operated by Brooklyn Kiev port Ltd. on November 24-26 handled the M/V Teno, a Liberia flagged, Maersk owned 299-m-long, 46-m-width container ship, the Odessa Commercial Sea Port press release said.

After successful handling of the 8,000teu M/V Tubul in 2011-2012 at Odessa port, Maersk decided to deploy on the South East Asia-Black Sea line the container carrier sister ships.

The container terminal (Piers No 42-43) was inaugurated in October 2008. The facility construction was carried out jointly with French carrier CMA CGM, the world’s third largest container shipping company.

The Khlebnaya Gavan terminal handled the first container ship, the CMA CGM owned 2,824teu M/V Dahila, in April 2009.
