On November 28, a Gazprom Neft’s bunkering division Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker introduced its new bunkering tanker named Gazpromneft Zuid-East at the seaport of Vladivostok, the company press release said.
This is first tanker acquired by GPN Marine Bunker for operation in the ports of Primorsky Territory. The icebreaking 6,800dwt tanker built in 2012 has unlimited navigation area and meets all requirements of international conventions.
"With the newbuild acquisition the company plans to significantly strengthen its position in the rapidly developing Far East bunkering market. For the first nine months of 2012, Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker boosted bunker sales to ships to 272,300 tons, which is more than 80% from the same period last year. In the future, the company plans to increase bunker sales and geographic expansion in the country and abroad," said Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker CEO Andrei Vasilyev.
