Maersk hikes rates on Asia-America trade

Danish shipping line Maersk has announced General Rate Increase on cargoes shipped from Far East Asia to Central America and Caribbean and West Coast South America, effective 1 January 2013, the Company's press release said.

Scope:

China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Taiwan to Colombia (only Buenaventura (Colombia)), Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Bolivia and Nicaragua

General Rate Increase:

USD 500/1000/1000/1250 per 20’/40’/40’ high cube/45’ high cube dry

Scope:

China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Taiwan to Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica,Panama, Trinidad & Tobago, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Colombia (Santa Marta (Colombia), Baranquilla (Colombia), Cartagena(Colombia))

General Rate Increase:

USD 700/1000/1000 per 20’/40’/40’ high cube dry

Scope:

China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Taiwan to Cuba

General Rate Increase:

EUR 550/790/790 per 20’/40’/40’ high cube dry
