CSC Jinling Shipyard has won an order to build up to ten 35,000 dwt handysize dry bulk carriers for Greece-based Ariston Navigation, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The deal is for a firm order of seven handysizes plus an option to build three more. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed. John Xylas, president of Ariston Navigation, said the company has been waiting for the right moment to enter the newbuilding market and it believed the latest deal represents the right timing.
