Zelenodolsk Shipyard named after Maxim Gorky today held a keel-laying for Floating Drydock "Sviyaga" of Project 22570. The project was developed at St. Petersburg-based Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau, the shipbuilder’s press release said.
The state contract for construction of TPD of Project 22570 was signed in the spring of 2012. The vessel delivery is scheduled for 2015.
Floating Drydock Sviyaga is intended for transportation of ships, for inspection, maintenance and repair of ships hulls.
Sviyaga’s main characteristics: length - 134 m, breadth - 14 m, draft - 2.67 m, capacity - 3300 tons
