Bunker prices in the US Gulf and Caribbean saw some small gains today, while markets elsewhere in the Americas were either steady, or made small mixed movements, Ship & Bunker reports.
Houston IFO380 rose $3.00 to $608.00 per metric tonne (pmt), down $1.50 week-on-week, and falling $6.00 from October 30, 2012. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) climbed $12.50 to $720.00, up $8.50 on last Friday's price, and making the premium for the low sulfur product $112.00 pmt. MGO rose $6.00 to $1012.50 pmt, slipping $9.50 from last week, and up $20.00 from two weeks ago.
New York IFO380 moved down for a fourth consecutive day down $0.50 to $619.00 pmt, $9.50 lower than last Friday, and losing $4.00 in the past month. LS380 dropped $3.50 to $690.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $71.00 pmt. MGO rose $3.50 to $1044.50 pmt, falling $6.50 week-on-week, but up $35.00 on the price a month ago.
New Orleans IFO380 moved up $6.00 to $627.50 pmt, gaining $10.50 since last Friday, and up $9.50 from October 30, 2012. MGO fell for a fifth consecutive day dropping $1.00 to $1005.00 pmt, slipping $16.50 week-on-week, and down $23.50 over the past month.
LA / Long Beach IFO380 was down for a fourth consecutive day falling $4.50 to $663.50 pmt, $8.50 lower than last Friday, and $21.00 less than two weeks ago. LS380 dropped $6.50 to $743.50, down $15.50 week-on-week, and making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $80.00 pmt.
Vancouver IFO380 gained $3.00 to $646.00 pmt, down $5.50 from last Friday, but up $11.50 on the price two weeks ago. LS380 was down $0.50 to $912.50 making the premium for the low sulfur product $266.00 pmt.
