First ship to dock at new Taman port in H2 2017
The terminals construction at the new port of Taman near Cape Tuzla is scheduled for late 2014 and the first ship is expected call in the second half of 2017, a management company manager said at the conference "Outlook of seamless logistics of Russian coal exports," hosted by PortNews.
JSC Lenmorniiproekt CEO Igor Rusu said that the total investment in the port is estimated at RUB 230-250 billion, of which 6-75 billion rubles from the federal budget (under the federal program).
The project provides for construction of two coal terminals with a total capacity of 25 million tons (12.5 million tons each). Among the likely investors are SUEK and UCL Holding.
The Rosmorport’s project will be managed by a company that has been established. It is expected that Krasnodar Territory Administration will join the project.
