AXSMarine wins IBJ award in the “best Marine IT Solution” category
AXSMarine has been awarded in the Best Marine IT solution category, at the 4th Annual IBJ Awards, for their AXSDry product, which has been used by thousands of bulk professionals since its release in 2000, the company news release said.
The award was received by Hugo Rousse (sales manager) and Alexandros Mitsios (sales executive). The evening gathered more than four hundred guests from the shipping industry, who enjoyed a rocky ambiance thanks to a live Beatles band performing on stage. Created by the leading magazine International Bulk Journal (IBJ), and hailed as the most sought-after prizes in the bulk industry, the IBJ awards salute outstanding achievements by individuals and companies.
AXSDry is an innovative software enabling Dry bulk organizations to better manage their commercial chartering information, giving them access to an extensive inhouse database of ports and vessels. More than three hundred of individual companies, from among ship owner/operators, ship brokers, charterers and financial institutions, save time and effort by pooling their key vessel, cargo and calculation information in one place. Instead of manually searching for information, AXSDry subscribers simply access their saved data and use it to make smarter, more informed choices and better, faster decisions.
Recognizing the information challenges dry bulk professionals face today, AXSMarine released AXSDry4.0 in June 2012. In addition to the enhancements to modules provided today, the upgraded product brings two new optional features. With AXSReader, a new auto-e-mail updater, the system automatically recognizes email text and updates vessel positions into clients database views. The other highly demanded feature is embedded AIS information, which allows users to see live vessel positions, compare AIS with commercial positions, and have a better market overview. AXSMarine sources its data under commercial agreement from Vessel Tracker (www.vesseltracker.com) and exactEarth (www.exactearth.com ), both leading providers of AIS information.
Stephen Fletcher, Commercial Director at AXSMarine, sees the IBJ Award as confirmation of the company’s focus on constantly improving its products and satisfying its customers: “With AXSDry4.0, we can offer the customer a software solution coupled with databases, e-mail recognition system and embedded AIS information. This truly allows our customers to reach their decision making point faster, and it is truly satisfying for AXSMarine to receive such a renowned award within a short time after the launch of AXSDry4.0.”
