Bunker prices in North America slipped today, according to Ship & Bunker price data, with IFO380 in Los Angeles / Long Beach making its biggest drop since November 21, 2012, Ship & Bunker reports.
Houston IFO380 moved up for a third consecutive day climbing $4.00 to $615.50 per metric tonne (pmt), rising $1.50 week-on-week, and up $20.50 on last month's price. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) slipped $7.00 to $717.00 pmt making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $102.00 pmt. MGO slipped $4.00 to $1015.00 pmt, losing $5.00 from last Tuesday, and up $17.50 from November 5, 2012.
New York IFO380 moved up $1.00 to $622.50 pmt, falling $5.50 from last week's price, and $3.50 down from the previous month. LS380 was up $3.00 to $698.00 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $75.50 pmt. MGO climbed $0.50 to $1042.50 pmt, down $6.00 week-on-week, and rising $43.00 since November 5, 2012.
New Orleans IFO380 was up for a third consecutive market day gaining $8.00 to $639.00 pmt, up $15.00 from last Tuesday, and a month-on-month increase of $39.50. LS380 was up $2.00 to $734.00 making the premium for the low sulfur product $95.00 pmt. MGO dropped $6.50 to $1014.50 pmt, $3.00 above last week's price, and $11.00 up on the previous month.
LA / Long Beach IFO380 fell for a sixth consecutive day dropping $17.50 to $645.50 pmt, down $27.50 week-on-week, and losing $36.00 over the past month. LS380 fell $16.00 to $726.00 to make the premium for the low sulfur fuel $81.00 pmt. MGO rose $0.50 to $1053.50 pmt, falling $1.00 from last week, and up $11.50 on last month's price.
Vancouver IFO380 dropped $3.00 to $647.50 pmt, the same price as last Tuesday, and up $14.00 in the past month.
