Bunker prices fall across the EMEA region
The week ended with bunker prices in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region moving down with many IFO movements in the $-5.00 to $-10.00 range, Ship & Bunker data showed, as Rotterdam and Fujairah saw IFO380 drop for a second consecutive day.
Rotterdam IFO380 slipped $6.00 to $581.50 per metric tonne (pmt), dropping $3.50 week-on-week, and down $12.50 from last month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) fell for a fourth consecutive day falling $10.50 to $602.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $20.50 pmt. MGO moved down $14.00 to $914.50 pmt, losing $16.50 from last week, and falling $21.00 month-on-month.
Fujairah IFO380 dropped $6.50 to $600.00 pmt, down $3.00 from last Friday, and slipping $15.50 from November 7, 2012. MGO in Fujairah fell $1.50 to $1019.50 pmt, up $1.00 on last week's price, and falling $19.50 from the price three months ago.
Istanbul IFO380 moved down $8.00 to $619.00 pmt, $0.50 less than last Friday, and $7.00 down month-on-month. MGO was down for a third consecutive day slipping $7.00 to $984.50 pmt, falling $16.00 week-on-week, and losing $19.50 over the past month.
Piraeus IFO380 fell $7.50 to $600.00 pmt, $0.50 less that last Friday's price, and down $13.00 from November 7, 2012. LS380 dropped $6.00 to $653.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $53.50 pmt. MGO moved down for a third consecutive day dropping $10.00 to $945.00 pmt, falling $24.00 week-on-week, and $15.50 less than the price a month ago.
