Double digit gain for IFO380 in Los Angeles
Prices in the Americas lacked direction today, with markets seeing a mixture of both small and larger movements, Ship & Bunker reports. LA / Long Beach saw a double-digit gain for IFO380 today, marking a sixth consecutive day of rising prices in the port which has now largely cancelled out the big drops for the grade that were seen at the port at the start of last week. Today the product gained $19.00 to $655.00 pmt, up $39.50 week-on-week, but still down $16.50 from this time last month. LS380 was up $23.50 to $763.50 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $108.50 pmt. MGO gained for a second consecutive day up $14.50 to $1015.50 pmt, down $1.50 from last Thursday.
Houston IFO380 was up for a second consecutive day rising $4.50 to $606.00 per metric tonne (pmt), for a $1.00 week-on-week change, and a $1.50 monthly change. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was up for a third consecutive day gaining $4.00 to $708.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $102.50 pmt. MGO was up $3.00 to $989.00 pmt, $4.50 higher than last week.
New York IFO380 moved up for a second consecutive day rising $3.00 to $612.00 pmt, slipping $1.00 week-on-week, and down $13.50 since last month. LS380 rose $1.00 to $664.50 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $52.50 pmt. MGO was up $8.00 to $1014.00 pmt, falling $21.00 from last week.
Vancouver IFO380 moved down for a fourth consecutive day dropping $9.00 to $621.00 pmt, down $20.50 from last Thursday, and falling $3.50 from a month ago. LS380 moved down $19.50 to $879.50 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $258.50 pmt. MGO fell for a third consecutive day dropping $3.50 to $1061.50 pmt, making a weekly loss of $25.50.
