The week came to a close with soft bunker prices in North America and the US Gulf and Caribbean, while in South America prices were somewhat mixed.
Houston IFO380 dropped $1.00 to $605.00 per metric tonne (pmt), up $6.00 week-on-week, and $1.50 lower than last month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) moved down $3.00 to $705.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $100.50 pmt. MGO slipped $1.50 to $987.50 pmt, down $5.00 from last Friday.
LA / Long Beach IFO380 fell for the first time since December 5, 2012 dropping $7.00 to $648.00 pmt, rising $21.00 week-on-week, and falling $20.00 from November 14, 2012. LS380 dropped $10.50 to $753.00 making the premium for the low sulfur product $105.00 pmt. MGO moved down $2.50 to $1012.50 pmt, rising $7.50 from last Friday.
New York IFO380 slipped $4.50 to $607.50 pmt, the same price as last week, and down $17.50 from last month. LS380 was down $12.00 to $652.50 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $45.00 pmt. MGO slipped $1.00 to $1013.00 pmt, falling $15.00 from last week's price.
Vancouver IFO380 fell for a fifth consecutive day down $3.00 to $618.00 pmt. losing $24.50 week-on-week, and down $11.50 from last month. LS380 slipped $5.50 to $874.00 making the premium for the low sulfur product $256.00 pmt. MGO moved down for a fourth consecutive day dropping $2.50 to $1059.00 pmt, $16.00 lower than last week.
