CNRG’s shipyard floats out Super 116E jack up rig
The major yard of Caspian Energy (CNRG) Group’s Astrakhan Shipbuilding Production Association (ASPA) saw recently an official launching of the jack-up drilling rig of Project Super 116E ordered by Lamprell Energy Ltd., the Group’s press release said.
After launching the newbuild will be outfitted in the water area of the ASA, which includes installation of deck equipment and trials. The newbuild is scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2013
Fabrication of the rig and its floating out was performed with the help of submerged MAR & GON pontoon of capacity of 6,800 tons of Crane Marine Contractor (member of CNRG Group).
Super 116E drilling rig specifications: length - 74.1 m, breadth - 62.8 m, depth - 7.9 m, height of supports - 120 m, full load displacement - approx. 11,000 tons.
Astrakhan Shipbuilding Production Association is one of the largest shipbuilding companies in the Russian southern region. The company specializes in the construction of 5,740dwt mixed river-sea sailing tankers of Project 15781, of semi-submersible drilling rigs of Project 10170 (PPBU 6000/300), of large blocks of fixed drilling platforms, barges, different types of vessels: tankers, containerships, floating cranes, bulk carriers and etc.). The company is also experienced in dry-docking and repair of ships.
