Bunker price gains for North and Western Europe
Bunker prices saw gains in North and Western Europe today, and in the run up to the New Year Mediterranean and Black Sea markets were mostly soft.
Rotterdam IFO380 moved up for the first time since December 20, 2012 climbing $3.50 to $584.50 per metric tonne (pmt), $2.00 lower than this time last week, and down $14.00 from the previous month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) rose $6.50 to $623.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $39.00 pmt. MGO rose $2.00 to $934.50 pmt, up $9.00 week-on-week.
Fujairah IFO380 rose $2.50 to $607.00 pmt, rising $2.00 from last Thursday, and down $9.50 over the past month. MGO fell $3.50 to $1004.50 pmt,
Istanbul IFO380 dropped $1.50 to $618.00 pmt. MGO continued on a general downward trend and dropped $3.00 to $988.50 pmt, making a $3.00 week-on-week loss, and falling $20.50 in the last month.
Piraeus IFO380 fell $2.50 to $599.50 pmt, losing $3.00 since last week, and down $9.50 over the past month. LS380 dropped $14.50 to $652.50 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $53.00 pmt. MGO moved down $2.00 to $960.50 pmt, down $1.00 week-on-week.
