Rusian PM approves long-term program for development of shipbuilding
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved the state-funded program "Development of Shipbuilding in 2013-2030," the government press office said.
The ambitious program includes sub programs for support of domestic shipbuilding science, development of civil marine and river engineering, development of capacities of civil shipbuilding and logistics of the industry, government support to ensure the implementation of the state program of naval construction and the development of scientific and industrial potential of shipbuilding industry.
The draft program had been reviewed and approved at a cabinet meeting on November 8, 2012. The Russian Ministry of Industry Y Trade was charged to execute the program. Rosmorrechflot and Rosrybolovstvo agencies will be participating in the program implementation.
The program integrates the Federal Target Program (FTP) "Development of Civil Maritime and River Equipment" for 2009-2016, and a set of measures to ensure the execution of another federal program "Development of the Military and Industrial Complex of the Russian Federation in 2011-2020."
