In January-February 2009, Yeisk Seaport handled 150,700 tonnes of cargo including 92,000 tonnes o grain and 46,600 tonnes of coal.
In February the port handled almost 90,000 tonnes of cargo (+40%, year-on-year), reports press center of Sovfracht – Sovmortrans owing 53.2% of the port’s shares. In February the port exported 50,000 tonnes of grain, over 33,000 tonnes of coal, 6,000 cubic meters of sawn timber and almost 3,000 cubic meters of round timber.
Yeisk Seaport CJSC handles export and import flows between Russia and the states of the Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea Basins. The port is open for round-the-year handling of sea-and-river going vessels. Total length of 6 multi-purpose berths is 960 meters. The port complex is capable of handling at least 2.0 million tonnes of cargo per year.
