“The IA-3 is an extension of MCC’s existing service, the Indonesia Feeder Service 3 (INA-3), which covered Surabaya, Tanjung Pelepas and Singapore,” the carrier said in an announcement.
The new service, deploying two vessels, will call Laem Chabang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Jakarta, Surabaya, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, and back to Laem Chabang.
The Danish carrier said the upgraded service will help offer improved transit times from Laem Chabang to Surabaya (seven days) and Jakarta (five days).
The first sailing on the weekly IA-3 will be the El Zorro, expected to depart from Surabaya on March 28.
