Houston bunker prices continue to make steady gains

Bunker prices in Houston continued to make small, but steady gains last week, data from Ship & Bunker showed.

Key grade IFO380 on Friday moved up $3.50 to $593.50 per metric tonne (pmt) for a week-on-week gain of $8.00, and $18.50 pmt higher than two weeks ago.

However the product is still trending down over the last three months, and is priced $10.00 pmt lower than it was on April 12.

Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) at the port was up $9.00 in the week to Friday's price of $644.50 pmt, making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $51.00 pmt.

MGO ended the week priced at an average of $998.50 pmt, $23.00 higher than the previous Friday, and $12.00 pmt higher than three months ago.
