In 2013, Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC plans to handle 16.34 mln t of cargo (+4.1%, year-on-year), the company says.
In the second half of 2013, the company is to implement the approved investment programme. It comprises the delivery of three articulated cranes Mantsinen 120R with 5-m3 buckets, two cranes Mantsinen 70R with 3.5-m3 buckets as well as three coal transshipment loaders Liebherr 566 with 6-m3 buckets. The company is signing agreements for the delivery of three 3 heavy cranes Vityaz with 20-m3 buckets, 6 radial and 4 telescopic coal loaders of conveyor type, 3 fork loaders and 2 Terex loaders for operation with wagons.
Besides, the company is going to modernize portal crane Condor and other motor equipment.
Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC was established in 1994 on base of the public enterprise and nowadays it is one of Russia’s busiest ports. The port has 17 berths with total length of some 3,000 meters. The length and depth enables the port to handle vessels of up to 15.5 meters in draught and over 265 meters in length. In 2012, the company handled 15.69 mln t of cargo.
