National Shipping Chamber to submit proposals on shipbuilding support to Marine Board of RF Government
According to the proposal RF Transport Minister Maksim Sokolov, National Shipping Chamber is going to submit proposals on shipbuilding support measures to the Marine Board of RF Government. As IAA PortNews journalist reports, this was announced at the offsite meeting on the development of inland water transport held by RF Transport Minister Maksim Sokolov in Samara.
According to National Shipping Chamber, the following should be done for renovation of Russian fleet for river and mixed sea-and-river shipping: first condition – prolongation of Government Decree No 383 on compensation of rates on credits obtained for shipbuilding projects (terminated from January 1, 2013), second – access of shipping companies to long-term financing without security (at least 15 years for cargo fleet and 20 years for passenger fleet), third – launch of programme on ship utilization grants.
