Houston bunker prices make mixed movements

Houston bunker prices lacked any real direction last week, data from Ship & Bunker showed, with the price movements that were made remaining small.

After starting the week with a gain of $1.50, IFO380 fell mid week before recovering to $595.50 per metric tonne (pmt) on Friday, a week-on-week gain of $2.00.

Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) followed a similar pattern until Friday, when it fell $3.50 to $641.50 pmt, $3.00 lower than the previous week, making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $46.00 pmt.

MGO made gains every day of the week, with the biggest single gain of $7.00 on Friday putting the product $22.00 pmt higher than the previous week at $1020.50 pmt.
