Laky Verf launches patrol boat for Federal Customs Service of Russia (photo)

On July 23, 2013, Laky Verf LLC (Shlisselburg, Leningrad region) launched the patrol boat ТС-531 of Project 13М built for the Federal Customs Service of Russia (RF FCS), IAA PortNews journalist reports. The vessel will be registered in port Taganrog.

“It is our initial experience in construction of such boats. The vessel will comply with the customs requirements”, said Yury Shushkin, Head of Air and Marine Service, RF FCS. He noted ergonomic and comfortable facilities for rest and work.

Yury Shushkin emphasized that the boat will be comprehensively appraised upon completion of her sea trial and expressed his hope for further cooperation with the shipyard.

Sergey Chaika, Head of Marine Department of North West Customs Department, noted professionalism of the shipyard’s team which builds vessels in short terms and with high quality.

“I hope, the shipyard will have new projects and we, as the customers, will contribute to this,” he said.

The boat was launched with Ekaterina Poddubnaya, PR Manager of the Company, as godmother. 

Patrol boat of Project 13М can be used for customs control purposes (patrolling, inspections, interception and search of non-compliant vessels, passenger transportation) in the waters of the coastal and marine areas, and estuaries of major rivers, both at night and in daytime, as well as for search and rescue operations and other purposes complying with the vessel’s technical abilities.

The boat is equipped with the system for external sound reception, Satellite compass, NAVTEX system, thermal camera, weapon safe box. Besides, the window glass is 30% smoked. The boat provides all possibilities for a long-term service. The glass area provides a panoramic view. Safe windscreen can be electrically heated. 

There are 2 cabins which can accommodate up to 5 passengers at night and up to 10 passengers in daytime. 

This river-sea class boat can patrol the waters of the coastal and marine areas, and estuaries of major rivers .

Laky Verf is located at Nevsky Shipyard (Shlisselburg, Leningrad region) and has its own production facilities. From 2005 the company specializes in production of steel motor luxury yachts with exclusive design of the interior developed by the famous Dutch designers Guido de Groot and Frank Laupman. Since its foundation the company has built and transferred to the customers 6 yachts of 23M project. All 23.5-meter yachts successfully passed sea trials. The construction is supervised by Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
