Privatization of Makhachkala Commercial Seaport can be postponed till 2014-16 – Rosmorrechflot
Privatization of Makhachkala Commercial Seaport (MCS, Dagestan) can be included into privatization plan for 2014-16 as Rosimushchestvo (Federal Agency for State Property Management) is not likely to be able to take a decision on privatization terms till the end of 2013 even if the rights for all real property facilities are registered. This opinion was expressed by Konstantin Stasyuk, deputy head of Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency), at the meeting in Makhachkala headed by RF Transport Minister Maksim Sokolov, the Ministry’s press center says.
When considering the issue on inclusion of MCS into the privatization programme, it is important to be guided by the new privatization priority set forth by the RF Government, which is not the sale of facilities at any price but the attraction of investments and strategic investors into the privatized assets with the purpose of their further development, Konstantin Stasyuk emphasized.
