Baltic Fuel Company enters the market of environmental services of Lake Onega
The group of companies Baltic Fuel Company (BFC Group) on July 22, 2013 entered the market of environmental services of Lake Onega. On July 23, the company’s wastes collecting vessel handled its first ship, the river passenger vessel "Gospodin Velikiy Novgorod.”
The SKAT, a vessel for receiving ship-generated wastes of capacity of 300,000 tonnes, will be working on the lake in the 2013 summer shipping season.
The Group CEO Stanislav Korneev said the company planned for this year the purchase of two wastes collection vessels of mixed "river-sea" class, as Onega, despite the uniqueness of this natural body of water, is not immune to current environmental threats. The service has become popular among ship owners, who now have capabilities to fully comply with environmental legislation.
