    Terminal Novaya Gavan finishes preparation for the winter time

    Terminal (Terminal Novaya, Ust-Luga port, pos.Vistino, Leningr.obl.) has finished its’ preparation for winter time. The following equipment has been purchased to guarantee the quality of operations during winter conditions: snow throwers,  dump truck, tractor Foton equipped with snowplow and brushes, forklift, the company said in its press release.
    In addition to the equipment listed above de-frosting reagent was bought to treat the terminal surface appropriately. Furthermore all employees have been provided with needed uniform.

    There are 24 Ro-Ro vessels planned with Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Infinity, Subaru and Haima vehicles to TNG during the winter period (Dec.2013-Apr.2014).

    Terminal Novaya Gavan was built in 2011 in the north-eastern part of the LugaBay (Gulf of Finland) in the Baltic Sea and registered as a separate cargo area of the Ust-LugaSeaPort (Resolution of the Russian Federation Government No. 698-р dd. 20.05.2009). The terminal is the northernmost part of the port and the first terminal on the see channel to Ust-Luga, which is very favorable for the ship calls.

    The terminal was built for of Ro-Ro and general cargo processing. The area of the operating terminal is 24 He. The working length of the berth is 150 m. and the depth is 9,6 m. Terminal is capable to store up to 10000 passenger vehicles with a loading rate up to 240 trucks per day. Planned construction of highway “Ust-Luga – Veliky Novgorod” will reduce mileage from the port to Moscow to other regions of Russia approximately up to 100 km and will help to avoid the traffic of St. Petersburg.

    Terminal Novaya Gavan is the project based on the public-private partnership. “Terminal Novaya Gavan” LLC investments in the project comes up to 1.5 billion rubles and the governmental investment comes up to 767 million rubles (by the end of 2012). “Terminal Novaya Gavan” LLC is planning to invest in project development 4.5 billion rubles up to 2016 and the planned government investments will be 2.3 billion rubles up to 2016.

    Company “Russian Transport Lines” (RTL) is an exclusive logistics operator of Terminal Novaya Gavan. RTL is one of the largest Russian logistics operator, international full service provider with innovative approach to operation of logistics processes (IQNet, Oracle, ISO), global logistics network and its own advanced IT systems.

    Operational state border crossing point and customs zone is located at the Terminal Novaya Gavan. The terminal offers to clients the all range of services of customs clearance. All transactions can be executed in Russian and in English.

    “Terminal Novaya Gavan” LLC plans to deploy customs warehouse for storage of bonded goods, and for re-export of goods with minimal losses in the shortest time.
