RF Federal Antimonopoly Service: bunkering market sees no sufficient cooperation of government authorities

There is no sufficient cooperation between different authorities controlling the activities of bunker suppliers. This was discussed on December 18, 2013, at the meeting of RF Federal Antimonopoly Service attended by the bunker suppliers and dedicated to promotion of competition in this market, FAS press center says.

The discussion was mostly about the situation generated by teletypograms addressed to the heads of Energy Customs Points on customs procedures in respect of certain commodities. Representatives of the Central Energy Customs were actively involved in the discussion.

The meeting participants expressed their opinion about the effect of CEC orders on the companies’ economy, drew attention to the problems of legal regulation in the bunkering market as well as insufficient cooperation between different authorities controlling the market players’ activities.

“Direct dialogue involving the expert community and the related authorities will not only allow revealing of comprehensive problems by will also help find optimal solutions,” said Vladimir Mishelovin, FAS representative.
