Far East Railway increased container transportation by 13% to 34,200 TEUs in Jan'14

In January 2014, container transportation by Far East Railway hit 34,200 TEUs (+13%, year-on-year), says press center of Russian Railways OJSC.

According to TransContainer OJSC, almost 374,000 t of cargo was loaded into containers at the stations of Far East Railway (+9%, year-on-year) including 374,800 t of cargo loaded into large capacity containers (+9.1%).

Average daily loading in January hit 12,100 t (+9%). Average container weight was 17.7 t (-1.1%, year-on-year).
