Icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy to be relocated to White Sea
Amid the changing ice situation in the freezing ports of the Russian Federation, nuclear icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy is being relocated from the Gulf of Finland to the White Sea for providing of icebreaking assistance at seaports of Arkhangelsk and Kandalaksha, says Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency).
According to Rosmorrechflot, 3 icebreakers operate in the White Sea today. From the beginning of the winter navigation they escorted 53 vessels.
Port Arkhangelsk is currently open for vessels with ice class of Ice3 and above.
