Throughput of Tallinna Sadam (Estonia) was 5.4 mln t in Jan-Feb'14
In January-February 2014, state stevedoring company of port Tallinn (Estonia), Tallinna Sadam handled 5.4 mln t of cargo, which is the level of January-February’13. According to the company’s press center, February throughput of the company was also steady at 2.6 mln t.
In February, the port handled 212,300 t of dry bulk cargo (+29.9%) and 1,875,800 t of liquid bulk cargo (-6.4%). The port’s container throughput increased by 7.3% to 20,839 TEUs (+25.9% to 171,700 t). Transshipment of ro-ro cargo climbed by 7.9% to 292,900 t.
The company’s passenger throughput gained 6% to almost 591,500 passengers in February and 4.2% to 1,129,800 passengers in January-February.

The port of Tallinn is the forth largest port in the Baltic sea after the ports of St. Petersburg, Primorsk and Ust-Luga. It comprises four port areas: Muuga, Old City Harbour, Paljassaare, Paldiski South and Saaremaa.
In 2013, the port’s throughput fell by 4.2% to 28.2 mln tonnes. Passenger throughput of Tallinna Sadam climbed by 4.5% to 9.2 mln. Net profit of Tallinna Sadam surged by 21% to EUR 39.7 mln.
