In January-February 2014, the loading at the network of Russian Railways OJSC totaled 293.9 mln t, which is similar to the result of January-March 2013, the company’s press center says.
In the reported period, Russian Railways loaded 77.2 mln t of coal (-1%, year-on-year); 2.8 mln t of coke (-4.6%); 66.2 mln t of crude oil and oil products (+2.9%); 26.4 mln t of iron and manganese ore (-0.5%); 17.4 mln t of ferrous metal (-2.7%); 2.7 mln t of ferrous metal scrap (-3.1%); 13 mln t of chemical and mineral fertilizers (+11.3%); 5.8 mln t of cement (-8.4%); 9.9 mln t of timber (+11.7%); 3.6 mln t of grain (+50.9%); 30.7 mln t of construction materials (-9.5%); 4.6 mln t of non-ferrous ore and raw sulphur (-6.7%); 6.6 mln t of chemicals and soda (-3%); 7.3 mln t of industrial raw materials and molding materials (+8%).
From the beginning of 2014, the company’s cargo turnover made 561 bln tarrif t-km (+6.7%). Cargo turnover including empty wagon run made 725.9 bln tarrif t-km (+7.9%).
In March, the company loaded 104.4 mln t of cargo (-0.4%, year-on-year). The company’s cargo turnover climbed by 8.1% to 198.1 bln tarrif t-km. Cargo turnover including empty wagon run climbed by 8.6% to 255.2 bln tarrif t-km.
