Throughput of DELOPORTS terminals up 31% to 1.46 mln t in QI'14

In the first quarter of 2014 DELOPORTS terminals handled 1 460 thous. tons, representing a 31% increase compared to 1 Q 2013, the company says in its press release.

In Q1 2014 DELOPORTS container terminal NUTEP handled 676 thous. tons of cargo, which almost matches last year’s schedule. In TEU equivalent throughput amounted to 70 thous. TEU, or a 9% decline relative to the previous year.

Grain handling at KSK grain terminal in Q1 2014 increased 6.5 times compared to Q1 2013. Grain throughput reached 661 thous. tons – a quarterly record for the terminal. Moreover, KSK demonstrated third consecutive quarterly throughput growth.

Bunkering sales increased by 50% compared to Q1 2013, reaching 30 thous. tons.

General and liquid cargo handling reached 75 thous. tons, an 8% increase quarter-on-quarter.

Ro-Ro segment demonstrated declining volumes in Q1 2014. DELOPORTS terminals handled 47 thous. tons of Ro-Ro cargo, or 77% less than in Q1 2013. In terms of units the decline was lower – 9%.

DELOPORTS LIMITED is a holding company that owns and operates container, grain terminals and a bunkering company. Its assets are situated in the southeast region of Novorossiysk sea port (Russian Federation). Turnover of DELOPORTS terminals amounted to 5.1 million tons in 2013.
