A grey seal pup that was found on March 26 at the site of St. Petersburg based seaport MMPK "Bronka" under construction survived and is gaining weight, the port's PR office said.

The rescued pup is now in the Marine Mammals Rehabilitation Center of "Vodokanal” and will get his name very soon. The pup has shed it's white baby fur and does not freeze in the water. It already eats fish from the hands and has gained weight up to 18 kg. During the next month the pup will be taught how to catch fish in the water. When the pup completes it's “school” and reaches a weight of 40 kg, it will be released in the Gulf of Finland.
