Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has supported the Governor of the Murmansk Region Marina Kovtun concerning the project on the development of Murmansk Transportation Hub and ordered to implement the project as scheduled and in full. As IAA PortNews was informed at the Murmansk Region Government, the meeting of the Governor with the Prime Minister has been held today in Magadan.
The project on comprehensive development of Murmansk Transportation Hub is to be implemented by 2018. The project implies the construction of a railway line to the left shore of the Kola Bay (including two railway stations and a bridge across the bay) where private investors will build a coal terminal (Commercial Seaport Lavna). Besides, an oil terminal is to be built under the project.
