Cargo transportation by water transport in Ukraine down 2.2% to 1.2 mln t in Jan-Apr’14

In January-April 2014, cargo transportation by water transport in Ukraine totaled 1.2 mln t (-2.2%, year-on-year), says State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.

Cargo turnover increased by 14.9% to 1.41 bln t-km.

The increase of cargo traffic was registered in the sector of automobile transport (+17.3%) and railway transport (+1.2%).

In the reported period, all types of transport in Ukraine  carried 240.14 mln t of cargo (+2.9%, year-on-year).
