SAECS upgrades its North Europe-South Africa service from (8x) 4,500 TEU to 6,700 TEU

SAECS, the consortium of DAL Deutsche Afrika-Linien, Maersk Line/Safmarine and MOL is about to complete the 55% upgrade of its North Europe-South Africa service from (8x) 4,500 TEU to 6,700 TEU, the company said in its press release. The last two ships to be added, operated by the Japanese line, required their number of reefer plugs to be more than double to nearly 1,300 before entering the reefer-heavy operation, the company said in its press release.
