At a round-table discussion, the ministers are to discuss proposals of the European Commission concerning the improvement of the integration of transport infrastructures to the trans-European transport network (TEN-T) and use of the network for the implementation of the single EU transport policy, reports ELTA/LETA.
The transport ministers will also discuss the European Union's strategy for the Baltic Sea region and promotion of partnership of the northern dimension – cooperation among the EU members states, Russia, Norway and Iceland.
At the meeting, the Nordic and Baltic ministers will also discuss the implementation of the Single European Sky Initiative in the region of the Northern Europe and the Baltic Sea. The Swedish and Danish transport ministers will introduce their counterparts to their project of bilateral cooperation.
