Transshipment of export cargo totaled 250.5 million tonnes (+8.4%) including 41.9 million tonnes of coal (+18.7%), 13.2 million tonnes of grain (up 4-fold), 3.1 million tonnes of ore (up almost 3-fold), 151.5 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+7.2%), 6.2 million tonnes of mineral fertilizers (-30.3%), 3.9 million tonnes of timber (- 41.8%), 17.6 million tonnes of ferrous metal (- 2.1%), 5.4 million tonnes of containerized cargo (- 10.1%).
Transshipment of import cargo amounted to 17.6 million tonnes (- 40.2%) including 7.8 million tonnes of containerized cargo (- 41.9%), 4.7 million tonnes of general cargo (- 49.4%).
Transshipment of transit cargo totaled 29.8 million tonnes (+16.1%, year-on-year) due to crude transshipment. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo increased 1.5 times.
The ports of the North-West Basin handled 146.4 million tonnes of cargo (+1.9%) including 49.2 million tonnes of dry cargo (-15.9%) and 97.2 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+14.2%); Southern Basin – 119.2 million tonnes (+13.2%) including 41.5 million tonnes of dry cargo (+27.1%) and 77.7 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+6.9%); Far Eastern Basin – 58.2 million tonnes (+5.6%) including 37.1 million tonnes of dry cargo (-4.0%) and 21.1 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+28.1%).
Association of Sea Commercial Ports (ASOP) set up in 1987 unites over 50 organizations and enterprises of Russia’s maritime transport.
