RN Amur put into operation at RN-Nakhodkanefteprodukt oil terminal (photo)
A new tow boat RN Amur, constructed against Rosneft order at the Khabarovsk shipbuilding facility (Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship repair center subsidiary), proceeded to carriers mooring at Nakhodkanefteprodukt oil terminal.
According to Rosneft’s press release, RN Amur is a strengthened ice-class tow boat equipped with a modern propeller-rudder system, navigation support equipment, external fire fighting system, stern and foremost lowing winches.
Operational commissioning of the tow boat will allow to increase linehandling safety, and to increase the tanker fleet processing speed on the berths of the Company oil loading terminal.
RN Amur is operated by Rosnefteflot, Rosneft’s subsidiary that operates a modern towing fleet in ports of Nakhodka, Murmansk, Tuapse, Primorsk, and Ust Luga.
