Containerships changes terminal at Ghent due to fire incident
Following a fire incident on 18th September the container crane of the Ghent Container Terminal was destroyed making vessel operations impossible on site. The incident fortunately did not cause any injury to the staff on duty as the impact was limited to the crane itself as well as 1,5 day delay in vessel operations.
As from week 39 and until further notice Containerships’ vessels will call at IPG terminal in Ghent, the company said in its press release.
Laden import merchant haulage containers that currently are at GCT can be picked up at GCT until 23.09.2014 (opening 06:15 and latest by closing 20:30:00). In any case, please confirm any pick-up with your local Containerships contact
After 23.09 21:00, all laden import merchant haulage containers will be available for pick-up at IPG as from 24.09.2014
All export merchant haulage containers will have to be picked-up (empty) at / and delivered to IPG as from 22.09.2014
